9.2.3.1 Attempt to autodetect tape device

This option requires a tape cartridge in your tape device and will scan your system for valid tape devices and try to find out the one to use with KBACKUP . This should solve the problems of all those people who tried using KBACKUP with a rewind-on-close device. After examining your system, KBACKUP will prompt you with a list of usable devices.

Caution: This will write to the tape and overwrite any data on it!
